Do you want you local back. We have been told that we should not attack the candidates and give negative information. I say that opinion is put forth that have something to hide. The Truth. If you are afraid of negative information then do not give anybody any thing to work with. If a Candidate is dirty and has done things that are Negative than you have a duty to bring them to light so that the voters can make an informed decision when they vote. Such is the case in this election. We have candidates who spend all their time working against the members of Local 370,doing nothing to help them and then want the members to elect them to office. When it comes election time they waste their time writing long articles of dribble about “Keeping It Fair” and mud slinging during elections. This has two purposes .One is to divert your attention reading such BS and note reading about the candidate before you. Two. If they can convince you to not expose them for the back stabbing low life they have been at every time but election time they might get elected. My answer to that is to “Kiss our collective ASS” We have a duty to each other and to the voters to make them aware of the Candidates actions that are detrimental to the Rank and File. If you have committed negative actions against the working member you will not hide behind your ”Keeping it Fair” bullshit. You did it. You will be exposed. You were not fair in your screwing the members of Local 370.You deserve no quarter during the election and will get none
If at any time you as w member of Local 370 decide to vote the time is now. Never has it been such a critical time in the history of our Local, Our Local 370 is one step away from non existence. We have been reduced to a mere shell fleeced by the Empire Council and signed away by the Officers elected to represent you. NOT the Empire Council. Now matter how many lies they tell you remember one fact. The Empire Council could not have done this without the cooperation of Mr. Hicks and Mr. Weir. They are directly responsible. It was them who had the power to STOP the Empire Council. They could have stopped them then and they could stop them now. They have voluntarily conspired to let the Empire Council fleece Local 370. This is a direct violation of their Fiduciary Duty to act in the best interest of the members of Local 370. It is an insult to have Mr. Weir and others names on the ballot for election. What is their Campaign Slogan ”Vote For me and I will screw you for Three more years. Why have they acted in this way. 10 paid holidays including one Golf day. Double Pensions. Outrageous Salaries and the need to satisfy their ego. And fear. Fear that if they do not sell us out tot eh Empire Council they will be fired. Mr. Hicks and Mr. Weir have allowed the Council to illegally impose Council bylaws on this Local. One of these bylaws allows little Patty Morin to fire everybody except for Joann Lein and Ronnie Sullivan. While they could not fire them as Union Officers they can fire them as Representatives and suspend them pending trial. As a fired rep the officers cannot have access to 1284 Central Ave because THEY have allowed the Empire Council to own it. They cannot receive a salary because THEY have allowed the Empire Council to dictate them as Council Employees paid by the Council. Why would anyone be so ignorant as to expose themselves to such restrictions when they can tell the Empire Council to stick their bylaws in their ass. The UBC Constitution allows each local to write and be governed by its OWN bylaws. They DO NOT have to allow the Empire Council to impose bylaws our Local. The UBC Constitution allows the Councils to write bylaws to govern themselves and NOT the Locals. The UBC has sated for the record that the Councils have NO LEGAL BINDING AUTHORITY OVER THE LOCALS. So why would any Local elected Officer allow their local and themselves to be controlled by the Council?? It is either sheer ignorance or sheer greed. Either way these are not people we want as Officers of this Local. The Present condition of our Local is all the proof we need to attest to that fact. The Present condition of our Local is the result of William Weir and Kevin Hicks conspiring with the Empire Council to fleece Local 370. They have done quite well.

How sick are you of hearing the phrase “Because the Empire Council says so”. Why do we as members not tell the Empire Council to kiss our ass. What is the condition at Local 370.

Our Health Fund has been reported to Treasury as Seriously Endangered
Our Health Benefits have been cut and our co pays increased.
Every Raise has been stolen and fed in to a plan seriously mismanaged by the Empire Council
Our Brothers in the Old 229 Plan have been hit with a 47% increase in Premiums and now cannot work enough hours to qualify for health care. They and their Families have NO HEALTH CARE. William Weir blamed the members.
Our Brothers in Glens Falls have had their Pension Plan decimated and reduced to 20 dollars a credited year at the hands of the Empire Council. Mr. Hicks and Mr. Weir did nothing.
The UBC International and the Empire Council drain off 48% of our Local Cash Receipts in per capita tax from our Local and Mr. Weir does nothing. We paid $424,414 in per capita tax to the International and Empire Council and we have members who do not have health Care. Show me were in the Constitution that it allows for 48% of a Locals cash receipts to be taken in per capita tax.. You can bet Mr. Weir will never ask this question

We members have been the victim of the systematic fleecing of our Local by the Empire Council .They could only have to done this without the help of William Weir. Mr. Weir has conspired with the Empire Council to reduce our Local to a shell that Empire Council uses for a cash cow. Stop the Bleeding now.

A vote against Weir is a vote against the Empire Council. Its time to send them both packing.
